Volvo's luxury electric minivan 'EM90' was unveiled for the first time at the world premiere on the 12th. EM90 is the brand's first premium electric minivan and features a luxurious interior reminiscent of a Scandinavian living room.
The Volvo EM90 was produced based on the '009' MPV of Geely Auto Group's premium brand Ziker. Thanks to this, the overall appearance and interior atmosphere are similar to the Ziker 009 model. The front part features headlamps reminiscent of the Volvo EX90, and a grill design unique to electric vehicles is applied.
The body size is 5,210 x 2,024 x 1,859mm (total length x overall width x total height), and the wheelbase is a whopping 3,205mm. This is also similar to the Ziker 009, with which it shares a platform, and provides ample interior space based on its large body size and long wheelbase.
The rear part has vertical and horizontal lines appropriately placed. The overall graphic is H-shaped, but what stands out is that the middle line is finished in black and ‘VOLVO’ lettering is inserted inside.
The interior of the EM90 features luxurious lounge seats and a large panoramic sunroof, creating an open and luxurious atmosphere. The driver's seat has a simple, high-tech design with a 10.25-inch digital cluster and 15.4-inch infotainment display.
For the second row of seats, an independent lounge seat that provides massage, heating, and ventilation functions is applied. In addition, a 15.6-inch rear-seat display equipped with various entertainment functions can be used in a variety of ways.
In the case of the 3rd row of seats, a generously sized sliding door allows for comfortable entry and exit, and allows easy entry and exit between the 2nd row of seats. Here, Volvo EM90 provides the best riding experience by applying Bowers & Wilkins premium sound.
The battery is equipped with a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 116kWh from CATL. Equipped with an ultra-fast charging system, it can be charged up to 80% within 30 minutes, and can drive about 720km in China on a single charge.
Meanwhile, the Volvo EM90 will be released first in the Chinese market, and the price of the vehicle is 810,000 yuan (about 146 million won) in China.
